Voices

Palabra lets you choose which voice will be used for speech translation. You can either use one of our high-quality built-in voices optimized for specific languages, or create a custom cloned voice using your own short voice sample.

Choosing a Voice​

To replace the default voice, simply provide the voice_id in the translation settings pipeline when using the API, or change it directly in the user interface for products like the Desktop App, Broadcaster, and others.

You can:

  • Use one of Palabra’s built-in voices tailored to different languages.
  • Clone your own voice by uploading a short audio sample.

Voice Cloning​

To deliver a consistent and personalized voice experience at scale, Palabra offers voice cloning via both the user interface and the API.

How It Works:​

By uploading a short voice recording, you can generate a realistic, natural-sounding cloned voice in a few minutes and get its voice_id.

Access and Usage:​

Once your voice is cloned, it becomes available across all Palabra products:

  • API integrations (as voice_id to be set)
  • Desktop App (as UI setting)
  • Broadcaster (as UI setting)
  • Other Speech-related products and services.
